David Macaulay: City

This week we will be using David Macauley's book City to examine ancient Roman cities. We will also view a PBS film adaptation of the book during class. The following is part one of his film. You can view the rest on YouTube. Just look up "David Macaulay City".

 

Lost Ships of Rome film

We are going to begin looking at Ancient Rome by thinking again about how ARCHAEOLOGY can teach us about an ancient culture. We will view the following film, Lost Ships of Rome, to see how archaeologists uncovered ancient Roman trading ships and their cargo on the ocean floor.
